Hackney Giving has awarded a further £140,000 in grants to community groups.

In the recent Living with Covid round which was funded by City and Hackney Public Health, we awarded a total of £139,399 to 27 groups, for continued participation in the Public Health Community Champions Network. The grants included nine Outreach projects, which were awarded additional funding for work to increase vaccination uptake in the areas with the lowest vaccination rates and to provide support around Long Covid and other health issues. The six wards that are the focus for Outreach projects are Hoxton East and Shoreditch, Hoxton West, Springfield, Cazenove, Stamford Hill West and Woodberry Down.

Funded organisations included ELATT, which works with young people in Hoxton and Kol Bonaich which is supporting the Charedi community in the North of the Borough. Grants for Network participation included  Fame Star Youth, Made in Hackney and Turkish Cypriot Community Association.
