Business giving

Whether your business is small or large, we can help you make a connection with Hackney’s communities. If you love Hackney as much as we do, we’re keen to talk about how we can work together.

Businesses in and around Hackney are as diverse as the communities that live here, and we understand that the way your business chooses to support Hackney Giving will depend on many factors: one size does not fit all! So we offer many different ways to partner with us. Here are just a few suggestions – we are open to other ideas and would love to talk to you. Please get in contact  if you’d like to discuss your business working in partnership with Hackney Giving.

Why choose Hackney Giving?

We are a trusted and experienced grant-maker supporting Hackney’s smallest charities and community groups. Our grants often support organisations that are beyond the reach of an individual donor: those small groups that make all the difference in a community, but which you may never hear of.

Further benefits of choosing Hackney Giving as a charity partner include:

  • Improving your team’s connection to the Hackney community – where they work, live and/or play
  • Demonstrating to your customers that you are a socially responsible business
  • Enabling you to build trust with local communities
  • We’ll shout about how great you are and tell your story.

Giving money

We welcome monetary donations of any size. No amount is too small to make a difference! From £15 raised at a staff cake sale up to multi-year donations of tens of thousands, by giving through Hackney Giving you can be confident that your business’s donation is supporting Hackney’s communities.

If you’re holding an event and would like to make Hackney Giving your nominated charity, you can set up a JustGiving fundraising page or donate directly online.

If you’d like to make a bank transfer, please contact us for bank details.

Giving time and skills

It’s not just about money: time and skills are also valuable resources which you can give. If your business has a pro bono offer that the Voluntary and Community Sector in Hackney can benefit from, please let us know and we can publicise your opportunity via our network.

Alternatively, if you would like to support Hackney Giving so that we can grow our own capacity to become bigger and better, we’d love to hear from you.

The Hackney Giving coffee, pizza or pint

If you make or sell food, drink or products, you could nominate one to support Hackney Giving. For example: you could make a contribution of 10 or 20p per unit sold, all while letting your customers know they are helping you to support this worthwhile cause. Hackney loves coffee, pizza and pints, why not let these products love Hackney in return? Talk to us about how this could work for your business.
