Leave a lasting gift

Hackney Giving is a local-giving fund that offers a simple way to support grassroots community projects in Hackney. It strengthens the borough by funding organisations who have the expertise to help people in their local community.

A gift in your will ensures that local organisations make Hackney a fairer place to live.

Voluntary and community sector organisations in Hackney are more in demand today than ever before, and with an ageing population and a precarious economy, this demand looks set to grow even further.

Legacy giving

Your legacy will leave a lasting impact on the Hackney community.

Writing a will is an opportunity to set out your wishes on who should benefit from your estate, allowing you to make provisions for family, friends and the charities you support. By leaving a gift to Hackney Giving in your will, you can help us to continue our work supporting the local community – ensuring we can help make Hackney a fairer place to live.

How do I leave a gift to Hackney Giving in my will?

We recommend that you consult a solicitor when writing a will or changing your existing will.

Hackney Giving is run by Hackney Council for Voluntary Service, a registered charity (Number 1069736) that supports other voluntary and community sector groups. Legacy gifts for Hackney Giving must be made to Hackney Council for Voluntary Service, with a clear statement that the gift is intended for use by Hackney Giving.

If you have already pledged a gift in your will or are planning to do so, we are extremely grateful and thank you for your support.
